* E Yorks: The secretary of the Queen's Awards scheme is visiting East Yorkshire to meet some of this year's winners.

15/06/2006

Hull Daily Mail

Stephen Brice yesterday visited Phosyn plc in Pocklington, which won the Queen's Award for International Trade in 2006.

The company, which makes plant nutrient products and provides analytical services to agriculture, was honoured after expanding its trade in 55 countries worldwide.

Mr Brice, the Awards' leading official, also went to 2005 Awards winner Corniche Fine Arts in Bridlington.

Today he is visiting the YES Group in Hull,  which won its Queen's Award for International Trade in 2005 after increasing its overseas sales over three years by 140 per cent.

He will be accompanied by Janet Brumby, Young Enterprise’s development manager in Eat Yorkshire, who this year won a Queen's Award for enterprise promotion.

She was honoured for her work encouraging thousands of school and college students to think about business as a career.
