* Lavenham Leisure - Suffolk Free Press

31/08/2006

A Sudbury company will host the launch of a major push to urge Suffolk business to apply for a prestigious Award.

Officials from the Queen’s Awards Office will visit Lavenham Leisure this Wednesday.

They chose the manufacturer of quilted horse rugs because it was granted the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2002.

Stephen Brice, Awards secretary, said: “It is a popular misconception that a business has to be big to win, but many previous winners have had fewer than 10 employees.”

To mark the visit by Stephen Brice and David Moore of The Queen’s Awards Office, the Churchfield Road company has embroidered the Queen’s Award logo onto a rug and quilted jacket.
