Top award for two recruiters
Two UK-based recruiters have been given a 2006 Queen’s Award for Enterprise, one of the countries highest business accolades, in recognition of their outstanding contribution to UK business success.
Technology recruiter Penta Consulting and Belfast-based Grafton Recruitment have both been recognised in the International Trade Category to reward their business achievements in other parts of the world.
Penta has an exclusive agreement in Dubai and operations in over 50 countries globally while Grafton, which is receiving its second such award has a network of over 64 offices across 16 countries.
Congratulating everyone in the company on their achievement, Penta managing director said: “I am very proud that Penta has been recognised with such a prestigious award, particularly as we are the first IT recruitment company to have been so. It is a reflection on the hard work and talent of our team and demonstrates that our dynamic business strategy is spot on. With the royal seal of approval for our services we are confident that we will continue to outperform our competitors and the market and that 2006 will be another record year.”
James Kilbane, Chairman of the Grafton Recruitment Group, was equally delighted. “Winning the Queen’s Award for the second time is a tremendous achievement. We are delighted to received this award in recognition of the increasing amount of international trade being generated by the Grafton Group. The award positions us as one of the top performing businesses in the UK. Our staff across Ireland and overseas have worked ceaselessly to bring Grafton to this point – this award is an endorsement of those efforts. We have built the business to critical mass in Central and Eastern Europe – something we are very proud of. But our challenge now is to recreate that success in other markets while consolidating our position as the leading independent recruiter across Ireland,” he said.
