Prestigious Queen's Award for Innovation
Rpresentatives from Burton firm Activa Healthcare Ltd travelled to Buciking Palace to pick up a prestigious Queen's Award for Innovation. The company was chosen for its pioneering work on products to cope with leg ulcers and chronic oedema, or water retention. Two representatives from the firm were selected to travel to the palace earlier this month, where they were able to meet the Queen, and eight other Members of the Royal Family at a special evening reception. Lord jones, Minister of State for Trade and Investment, who was also at teh event said: "I am always impressed with the diversity, commitment, determination and enthusiasm of the many businesses and individuals recognised. They have made a huge contribution to the economy, healping to create wealth, employment and enhance the UK's reputation as an enterprising centre of excellence. "They deserve enormous credit".
