TTPCOM presented with Queen’s Award

TTPCom at Melbourn has received its Queen’s Award for Enterprise, presented by vice Lord Lieutenant of the county, Michael Marshall.
The company won the award for outstanding export performance.
TTPCom, formed in 1998 and the floated part of TTP Group, specialises in software and hardware for mobile phones, licensing its technology to telecoms companies throughout the world.
During the period assessed for the Award, 2000 to 2002, the company doubled its overseas sales from £22m to £44m.
Dr Tony Milbourn, managing director, said: “TTPCom is firmly established at the forefront of the wireless communications industry.
“We have built a successful business by focusing on customer support and by providing flexible, leading edge technology that enables our customers to develop exciting new products.”
The company has built its business almost entirely on export.
