* Select Cast Line Up For Royal Awards

23/04/2003

Western Daily Press

Managing director David Harrison spelled out last night why winning The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is so important.
His company, Hayles & Howe is one of only 13 in the South West to win an honour for 2003.
The Bristol company, which specialises in reproducing antique marble called scagliola, is in the process of completing important orders in Japan.
Its work already adorns landmark buildings such as the Royal Opera House in London and Grand Central Station in New York.
Mr Harrison said “I am really hopeful that this prestigious award will enable us to reach other potential customers through the British embassy there and the Japanese embassy in London.
It has raised the company profile and is also recognition for the whole team who have beavered away for years and years.
He added: “I am really proud of everybody in the company and what we have achieved.
